A fast draining concrete paving solution.

With the dramatic escalation in urbanisation, efficient storm water management is an increasing challenge to reduce the risk of flash flooding and sustain natural water cycles.

HydromediaTM provides rapid storm water removal from streets, parking surfaces, driveways and walkways. While this unique product outperforms traditional permeable pavements, it also minimises the cost and long-term maintenance for local authorities and developers of storm water management infrastructure.

This porous pavement concrete is instrumental in recharging groundwater while reducing storm water runoff and can form part of a cost-effective Sustainable Urban Drainage System.

Lafarge Green minute and Bok Radio

LOW CO2 CONCRETE - Low CO2 concrete is produced by replacing Portland cement, by a percentage of up to 60%, with industrial waste such as slag and PFA in concrete. This has been common practice within Lafarge for years.

PLANT PROCESS - Lafarge encourages responsible water use in its operations. All readymix concrete plants have settlement pits from which recycled and harvested rain water is use in the production of readymix concrete.

ASH RESOURCES - PFA / Fly Ash produced from industrial waste by Ash Resources is used to blend cements, lowering its carbon emissions thus making it more environmentally friendly. Ash Resources is a sister company of Lafarge South Africa.

RESPONSIBLE SUPPLIERS - Concrete is used more than any other man-made material on the planet. As consumers of concrete we can help improve our environment by choosing responsible readymix concrete suppliers.

ULTRA WATERPROOF - By combining a waterproofing agent with concrete to make Ultra Waterproof concrete, you are able to eliminate external waterproofing and continued maintenance in a cost effective way.
