Quality is the foundation of our success, and as such we endeavour to always deliver quality products to our valued clients. Lafarge South Africa is a proud member of SARMA and ASPASA and adheres to its ethics and goals. Being a member of SARMA and ASPASA means that all Lafarge operations are independently audited on an annual basis. Areas audited, include: health & safety, environment and quality.
All the concrete we produce meets the specifications of SANS 878. Lafarge can also produce concrete to a client's own requirements including the COLTO specifications.
Lafarge South Africa has three main laboratories situated in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg. These laboratories are either SANAS accredited or in the final phase of accreditation. All testing data is centrally stored on a central data base for easy reference for our customers. |

Concrete Batching |

Lafarge boasts one of the most sophisticated batching systems available to the industry. All materials are weighed off. All our batching records are kept for 5 years.
To ensure that all material is weighed off correctly all our scales are externally calibrated every 6 months by a SANAS accredited testing facility.
All the concrete mix designs are designed in our regional offices. The plant staff do not have the access to change the mix design recipes. Prior to dispatch all concrete loads are visually inspected to ensure that the correct slumps are met.
