FAQ 1 : When you using Lafarge Gypsum Plasters does one achieve a smooth finish?

Yes. Provided you apply and polish to specification as recommended.


FAQ 2 : What is the recommended application product thickness one can apply to achieve the desired result?

Provided a optimal thickness of 2mm - 3mm is adhered to, one will achieve the required result.


FAQ 3 : Is it necessary to tape and joint the plaster board joints before flush plastering?

Yes. This is a requirement. One should apply fibatype and plaster to the joints prior to plastering the complete ceiling although one is not required to wait for joint process to dry.


FAQ 4 : What is your Lafarge Firecheck plasterboard fire rating?

Lafarge Firecheck plasterboard is fire rated only when a system is tested to systems requirements conforming to SANS0177.


FAQ 5 : Can standard plasterboard be used in wet areas?

No. Only Moisture Check plasterboard can be applied to wet areas(plasterboard with green paper)


FAQ 6 : Can Partitions be installed to heights over 3.6m and achieve the required fire rating?
