Lafarge in South Africa
Lafarge’s interests in South Africa are held in Lafarge South Africa Holdings (Pty) Limited. One of the major building materials companies in South Africa, Lafarge manufactures and markets cement, readymix concrete, aggregates and gypsum plasterboard.
The company is structured in three business units, trading as

and Lafarge Gypsum, with a combined total of 2 800 employees.
It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lafarge, the French global group that is world leader in building materials.
